Ada County CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, October 11 at 3:00 pm, Julia Davis Park, Agriculture Pavilion (shelter between the Bandshell and the Zoo on green belt/river side). Registration starts at 2:30 pm. Please follow the QR code above or click the picture for a link to the Hope Lutheran Crop Hunger Walk Group site. Consider joining our team for the walk.
The 3-mile loop begins on the greenbelt then switches to streets downtown and then back to Julia Davis Park for return. A one-mile loop will be available for those unable to walk the longer distance.
Looking to make a difference in our local community and in communities worldwide, the Ada County CROP Hunger Walk has set a goal of 150 Walkers from area churches and hopes to raise $25,000 to help end hunger and poverty through long-term sustainable approaches to significantly reduce or eliminate hunger.
Seventy-five percent of the funds are given to Church World Service. Church World Service is a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. A quarter of the funds raised will go to The Idaho Foodbank, whose mission is to help feed, educate and advocate for Idaho’s hungry through collaborative partnerships to develop efficient solutions that strengthen individuals, families and communities.
Please join us on our walk to end hunger!
