H.Y.A.P. Hope’s Youth Affirmation Project HYAP is where 7th- to 9th-grade youth affirm their faith in Jesus Christ and further their education in the purposes God has for their lives. During these Wednesday gatherings, we have teaching nights where the basics of the Bible and Christian doctrine are explained to the students in fun, interactive sessions. There are also fellowship nights when we play games and make being part of the family of God fun. We also have a discipleship night when we plan and perform acts of service.
The overall mission of HYAP is to enable students to have the courage and knowledge to publicly proclaim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Teaching nights will cover the Ten Commandments, Apostles Creed, Bible Overview and Lord’s Prayer during the 2007-08 year. The Winter Retreat date is yet to be determined.
